Key features:

  • high interest level grabs and holds students' attention
  • careful control of the language level helps students develop fluency in reading
  • clear yet mature layouts help to make the book accessible.

Clear, easy to use FREE photocopiable worksheets
are now available for selected High Impact titles.

These worksheets are aimed at readers aged 11-19 with reading ages of between below 6-10. Activities can be started part way through or at the end of reading a High Impact book. Some worksheets are freestanding and can be used without students reading High Impact books.

Students will find worksheets easy to use and will need little if any support to complete the tasks. Work set in small manageable pieces, word boxes, writing frames, cloze procedure, repetition and reinforcement are just some of the support strategies used in these worksheets.

As a teacher you may decide to use the worksheets for individual, paired, small group or whole class activities. The non-fiction titles and the corresponding worksheets may be used as a basis for individual or small group assignments. The stimulus material allows for additional fact-finding, information retrieval work and the exploration of presentation formats for mini projects.
